Sunny Vinayak Nimhan

Sunny Nimhan (Marathi: सनी निम्हण) is a young politician from Pune, Maharashtra. He was elected as Corporator in 2012. He was one of the youngest Corporator that time. In his first tenure itself he was nominated as "Best Corporator" in Pune by Maharashtra Rajya Marathi Patrakar Sangh in 2016.

Early life and education:
Sunny Nimhan was born on 20 February 1984 to a family of MLA Vinayak Nimhan in Pune, Maharashtra State. He was the only son in three childrens born to Vinayak Nimhan and Swati Nimhan. NImhan's family belong to Maratha community.
As a child he was a brilliant student. He always ranked first in his school SSPMS and Modern High School in Pune. He was captain of Cricket and Football team in school for consecutive five years and played in District level also. He passed out from Modern High School in 1999. Right from age of 12 he every year went bring to Shiv Jyot from all forts of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Early political career, from 2011 to present
He started his political career as a member of Youth Congress Party. In 2011, Rahul Gandhi decided to take election among members of Youth Congress to decide the executive panel of Pune City. As Sunny Nimhan was well known and well connected among all the members. He got elected as President of Youth Congress Party Pune. He was the first president of Youth Congress to get elected in Pune City.
